Panels and Services

The electrical panel is the heart of your home’s electrical system, regulating the power coming in and distributing it in circuits to your lights, plugs and appliances.

Each circuit is protected by a breaker or fuse. A tripped breaker or a blown fuse can be an inconvenience, but it likely means that there is a problem somewhere in your electrical system and the breaker or fuse is doing its job to keep you safe.

Electrical panels, like any other appliance or device, age over time and can become problematic. High humidity, heat, or dust can all contribute to the poor performance and reduced safety of your electrical panel.

There are many reasons why an electrical panel may need to be replaced. These include, but are not limited to, corrosion of the buss bars, fuses or breakers, obsolete panels, unsafe or non-code compliant installations, insufficient power to run your home, or the panel is full and new circuits cannot be added.

Our electricians will provide you with a detailed assessment of your current electrical service, as well as options for changing the panel, upgrading your electrical service, meter base or grounding system.

We work with your local utility provider to set up the disconnect/reconnect and take care of the required permit. For a service or panel change, we always bring a small generator to ensure you have a little power for your coffee maker, lights and/or your freezer. Of course, we will ensure you have your Certificate of Inspection from the Electrical Safety Authority to send to your insurance company or keep for your records.

Our Services Include:

  • Service Upgrades
  • Meter Base Repairs
  • Meter Base Replacements
  • Service Mast Repairs
  • New Grounding Systems
  • Whole House Surge Protection Devices
  • Identification and labelling of circuits on existing panels
  • Sub Panels and more!

If your panel & wiring looks like this, it’s time for a makeover!

At Amp Champ we will only use the highest quality parts. We stand behind our work and we provide a 10-Year warranty on panels and breakers (AFCI and GFCI breakers excluded).

Once your new panel is installed, we will schedule a complimentary service visit one year after the date of installation to perform any required maintenance, check and tighten all connections and ensure your new panel is in perfect shape.

On this panel, the screw was loose and the wire connection started arcing, hence the burnt plastic on the wire.
