Panel upgrades

THE PANEL IS THE HEART OF YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ENSURE IT IS HEALTHY!

100-amp to 200-amp service upgrades, fuse-to-breaker upgrades, and clean, labeled panels for homes, cottages, and light commercial properties. Most standard replacements finish within a day.

When it is time

The panel tells you...

Breakers that trip often, flickering lights, corrosion spots inside the panel, a missing panel cover, an obsolete Stab-Lok Federal Pioneer or Zinsco panel, or a fuse panel that is 60 years old or more are all signs it is time for an upgrade.

Air conditioning, EV chargers, hot tubs, and finished basements all add load that an older panel was never sized for. We assess the whole electrical system, not just the panel, and recommend the upgrade that fits how your property uses power.

All panel upgrades require an ESA permit and inspection. We pull the permit, coordinate the inspection, and leave you with a labeled, organized panel at the end.

Panel questions

How long does a panel replacement take?▾

Many standard panel replacements finish within a day. Service upgrades that involve the utility can take longer to schedule.

Do I need a permit?▾

All panel upgrades need one, because the service size changes. We pull the ESA permit and coordinate the inspection.

Will 200 amps cover a future renovation?▾

Usually, yes. A 200-amp service with spare breaker spaces is what makes the next project (EV charger, hot tub, finished basement) an easy add instead of another upgrade.
