Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Amp Champ Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through this website and our business, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to you and operate our electrical contracting business. This may include:
- your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about the work you are requesting;
- photos, documents, or other information you choose to send us;
- your resume, employment history, and application details if you apply for a job;
- your email address and consent preference if you subscribe to a newsletter; and
- basic technical information produced when you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, and security logs. Your light or dark theme choice is stored locally on your device.
Please do not send sensitive information, such as payment card details, government identification numbers, or health information, through a website form.
How we use your information
We use personal information to answer questions, prepare quotes, schedule and complete work, communicate about a project, maintain business and warranty records, process job applications, protect the site, meet legal and regulatory duties, and send newsletters or promotional messages when you have consented or the law otherwise permits.
Consent and marketing choices
When you contact us or submit a form, you consent to our use of the information for the purpose you provided it. The online quote form combines acknowledgement of service-related calls and text messages with an email-marketing opt-in in one required checkbox. The form records that consent choice but does not automatically subscribe you through an external mailing-list service. You may instead request service by calling 705-446-3088 or emailing info@ampchamp.ca without agreeing to promotional email. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us. Promotional emails will identify Amp Champ and include a way to unsubscribe, as required by Canada’s anti-spam law. Service, quote, safety, appointment, and warranty messages are not marketing subscriptions.
When we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share only what is necessary with employees, contractors, technology and hosting providers, email or form providers, professional advisers, inspectors or regulatory authorities, and others involved in completing your requested work. We may also disclose information when required or permitted by law.
Some service providers may process information outside Canada. In that case, the information may be subject to the laws of the country where it is processed. We remain responsible for personal information under our control and use appropriate measures with service providers.
Retention and safeguards
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above and for legal, tax, insurance, safety, employment, or warranty requirements. We then securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it. We use physical, administrative, and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy rights
You may write to our Privacy Officer to ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it and an account of how it has been used or disclosed, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent where applicable, or make a privacy complaint. We may need to confirm your identity and may withhold information where the law permits or requires.
Cookies and similar technology
The site uses local browser storage to remember your theme preference. We do not currently use advertising cookies. Our hosting and security providers may create routine server logs needed to deliver and protect the site. If our use of cookies or analytics changes materially, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.
